The fact is for some sounds they are a great help and as I learn how to use them to the fullest I am sure they will be just great. For sure I is no problem or discomfort in wearing them or using them. If you have trouble hearing or maybe a lot of folks suggesting that you should have them find a professional and get your hearing checked out. In Virginia you can even return them within 30 days and get most of you money refunded if you feel they are not helping or you don’t like them. I hope this video will be an encouragement that there is no bad stigma associated with wearing and using them. This video give a little background on obtaining and using them for the first time. My mother and father both lost much of their hearing as they got older and so I am not surprised that I also had a decrease in hearing as I am getting a little older. Yes you csn adjust the volumne up and? down — in fact I found this useful to turn the volume up in church for some of the speakers.
I have not found that it hurts my ears to turn up the volumn. Hope this is a help. Dave
